Our work in schools

Empire Fighting Chance delivers the largest non-contact boxing programme for schools in the UK. We work with primary schools, secondary schools and alternative providers across the South West of England and South Wales.

We weave in personal support while young people learn to box, using the sport as a platform to mentor, deliver therapy and offer careers support.

What we offer

We have over 15 years’ experience of working with education providers and offer programmes for students who are at risk of permanent exclusion and to those with multiple complex needs that prevent them from engaging in education.

Our priority is to support students to transition into mainstream education, to prevent exclusion and to provide students with the skills and resilience to cope with the challenges of everyday school life.

Box Champions

A trained coach combines non-contact boxing, mentoring and psychological education to give young people the skills, knowledge, and inspiration to make positive changes in their lives.

Box Therapy

With the support of a trained therapist, a range of appropriate psychological approaches are weaved into non-contact boxing sessions to help young people explore their feelings and behaviours.

Box Careers

This programme supports young people aged 16 to 25 with their learning, training, and work by offering non-contact boxing alongside career and education activities.
