Our day at the Memorial Stadium

Empire Fighting Chance staff were guests of Bristol Rovers Football Club in their game versus Shrewsbury Town as part of their charity of the year partnership.

Empire Fighting Chance staff were guests of Bristol Rovers Football Club last Saturday as part of their charity of the year partnership.

For the day Empire Fighting Chance were match sponsors and the staff and young people looked on proudly as the players of both clubs wore Empire Fighting Chance t-shirts during the warm up, and their showreel was played on the big screen both before the game and during half time.

The success of the day reinforced the brilliant relationship between Empire Fighting Chance, Bristol Rovers FC and the Bristol Rovers Community Trust which has previously included doing boxfits for the first team and joint projects with vulnerable young people respectively.

Empire Fighting Chance also organised a bucket collection from supporters before the game and raised a fantastic £668.26 from the attending gasheads.

“The club could not have been more helpful to us throughout both the day and the previous few weeks. They went the extra mile to ensure that, as a charity, we got all we needed and I cannot thank them enough. I specifically need to thank Tom Gorringe and Kerry Price from the football club and Adam Tutton, CEO of the Community Trust, for all their help and support. They are a credit to Bristol Rovers and helped us to support some of the country’s most vulnerable young people.”
