EFC Ambassador visits St. Matthias

Empire Fighting Chance ambassador and current European boxing Champion Lee Selby made a special guest appearance at St. Matthias Pupil Referral Unit for their end of term achievement ceremony this week. The students were in awe of the champion as he presented them with their awards and certificates. Lee also gave a short speech to the students, many of whom are enrolled on the alternative education programme at Empire Fighting Chance. He explained that he had been somewhat of a wayward youth himself before he found boxing and demonstrated the success that can be achieved through hard work and dedicationFollowing the awards presentation the students and staff were invited to have their pictures taken holding the championship belts alongside Lee.
