Climbing for Change 2025: Community, Challenge, and Real Impact

On Sunday, a group of 27 passionate individuals, including young people, corporate partners, dedicated supporters and Empire Fighting Chance staff, laced up their boots and took on the iconic Pen y Fan as part of our Climbing for Change 2025 event.

Together, we raised an amazing £1,543! This fundraising could support 4 young people through our innovative Box Therapy 12-week programme, which supports young people in overcoming mental health challenges through combining non-contact boxing with therapeutic support. 

A Shared Climb, A Shared Purpose

This year’s climb wasn’t just about reaching the summit. It was about standing together, side by side, in support of young people facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Our group embodied everything Empire Fighting Chance stands for: resilience, connection, and hope.

Among the 27 climbers were 11 incredible fundraisers who went the extra mile to raise money and awareness for the work we do. To each of you, we can’t thank you enough.

We were lucky to have some fantastic friends along the way:

• Extract Coffee kept our climbers warm and energised with teas, coffees, and hot chocolates throughout the morning.
• Hearts Bakery generously provided cookies for all participants – the perfect post-climb reward!
• We were joined by the brilliant team at Mobius and the ever-energetic Joe Sims, who brought energy and encouragement to everyone involved!
