A Fond Farewell To St. Paul's
Empire and Bristol Boxing Gym bid a fond farewell to the gym in St. Paul's which has been a presence in the community for more than 40 years.
All of the professional champions produced through the gym along with hundreds of people that enjoyed training there joined together to mark the closing of the historic building.
Sky Sports, Box Nation and local news channels filmed the reunion. It was a fitting event to mark the closure of a building that has housed Bristol’s most successful sportsmen.
Former world champion Glenn Catley who was Bristol's first world champion brought along his world title belt for pictures and to share stories with the people in attendance both old and new.
