Box Careers

Box Careers combines non-contact boxing training with careers and education activities to support young people aged 15 to 25 on their journey into learning, training and work.

BOXING BUILDS MORE THAN MUSCLES

Boxing is a powerful tool for developing personal resilience, confidence, and self-awareness. All of which are vital qualities for young people starting out in their careers. When a young person feels capable of facing challenges in the ring, they’re better prepared to tackle the demands of employment outside of it.

Our coaches build strong, trusting relationships with participants. This connection often becomes the motivation a young person needs to recognise their own potential and feel confident in pursuing meaningful employment.

GETTING FIT FOR THE FIGHT

Our twenty-week programme supports young people at all stages of their career journey, from those furthest from the job market to those ready to take their next step into employment. Together with their coach, each young person works through a tailored ‘Careers Checklist’ to identify where they are and what actions are needed to progress.

We understand that many disadvantaged young people face barriers to accessing mainstream careers support. That’s why we combine non-contact boxing with psychologically informed employability coaching to help young people build the personal qualities needed for long-term success. By improving physical health, mental well-being, and attitudes to work, our programme helps young people build a more positive outlook for their future.

OUR CAREER PROGRAMME OFFERS...
