Scaling New Heights: Celebrating the Success of Climbing for Change
Last weekend, Empire staff, supporters, young people, and families united to tackle the Empire Climbing for Change challenge, scaling Pen Y Fan to commemorate 10 years of the charity and raise vital funds for our ongoing work.
We're thrilled to announce that we've raised an impressive £7,404! This achievement speaks volumes about the continued support of our participants, sponsors, and donors.
Thank you to all who conquered Pen Y Fan; your dedication and resilience were instrumental in making this resounding success. Whether you reached the summit, or cheered from the side-lines, your involvement was invaluable.
To those who donated, your generosity will directly impact the lives of the young people we are privileged to support.

Director Ben Curnock gives more insight on why RedRock decided to support the Climbing for Change challenge:

One of the reasons is that some of our colleagues have experienced their service first hand, found comfort and felt support in their approach. Two out of four of our directors have come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We are passionate about helping children start on the right path and receiving career support and educational mentoring can help them realise their true potential. This is another reason why we feel so emotionally connected to Empire’s cause and will do our best to keep supporting it.”

Extract Coffee Roasters
Extract Coffee have one simple mission: Make Coffee Better. Better for customers, better for communities, better for coffee growers, and better for the environment.
Our partnership with Extract Coffee began in 2018, and together we've raised over £6,000 to support our work. This achievement is a testament to Extract’s fundraising endeavours and the sales from their annual charity espresso, Inner Strength. But it's not just financial contributions; the Extract team has gone above and beyond dedicating their time to support Empire’s Box Careers program. They've conducted Barista training sessions and connected us with their network of retailers, providing invaluable work experience and permanent job opportunities.
Extract very generously supported Climbing for Change by donating a hot drink to every participant of the challenge!

Lovett Foundation
The Lovett Foundation is the charitable arm of Dick Lovett, the car retailer. They support children in care and young adults leaving care across the South West and Wales, giving them assistance, life skills, and experiences which will contribute to a brighter future.

Vast
The Vast Franchise consists of 18 Subway stores across the Bristol area, who are dedicated to supporting Empire Fighting Chance. Since 2020, Vast’s stores have been fundraising, upskilling, and sandwich-making for Empire; as well as sponsoring the event, Vast donated Subway meals to participants of Climbing for Change. We are so grateful for their continued support.
