Creativity works preston joins box champions!

We’re delighted to welcome Creativity Works Preston  (CWP)  into our growing Box Champions network.

Earlier this month, their team travelled to Bristol for two days of intensive training with our coaches. Across the two days they learned how to combine non-contact boxing with mentoring to support the young people they work with.

CWP will now immerse the programme into their existing offer for young people seeking employment, adding a unique and engaging way to build confidence, resilience and focus. By weaving Box Champions into their services, they’ll create safe spaces where young people can gain the skills and self-belief, they need to move closer to education, training or work.

 

 

Who are Creativity Works Preston?

Founded in 2014, Creativity Works Preston provides work-based learning opportunities to people across the Preston area. Their programmes are designed for those who need or prefer to learn in a way that differs from the traditional, academically focused education system. Instead, CWP takes a project-oriented approach with individualised tuition, empowering people to develop the practical skills and confidence needed to find their place in the world of work.

This partnership is an exciting step forward in Preston, bringing together CWP’s expertise in work-based learning with Empire Fighting Chance’s sport-for-development model. Together, we’ll give young people more opportunities to build brighter futures.
